Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actor. Her first screen appearance was in Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film for which she won the British Academy Television Award as the Best Actress. She speaks fluently French, German and English. Her mother was a violinist, Her father is a theatre professor at one of the best Romanian drama schools. The Mangalia Gala, which is a celebration of Young Actors in 2000, she took home the Best Female Actor Award 2000. She was named as an European Shooting Star" by the European Film Promotion Board. She starred as an actor from Romania in Romanian actress in Cristian Mungiu's film 4 luni3 two days (four months 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 three weeks and two days) that was awarded three weeks, four months and two days) which was awarded the Palme d'Or and other prizes during the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. Also, she was as a character in The Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. The role she played was Yasim Awar in the BBC's 5 episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca was also a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. She later played Irma's German grandmother in Fury, which was released in 2014.
