LizzoLizzo was part of a prog-rock group that she sang in and occasionally played the flute. The family she was born into had moved to Denver and she was all on her own while she attempted to launch her career in Houston. Lizzo was living on her own in her car, often sleeping on the floor of her studio recording studio and washed her clothes at the gym. Lizzo lost her father at twenty-one years old. They were close and it was a heartbreaking loss. After the death of her father she resigned from the prog rock group. After a brief stint in Denver, Lizzo moved to Minneapolis in the year 2011 at the invitation of a good friend. Lizzo soon was in the center of the music scene. She was part of the girl groups Chalice and GRRRL PRTY. The album she released was Lizzobangers, her debut. out on an independent label in 2013.
