Alanis Morissette
Alanis Morissette is a Canadian was born on June 1 1974 in Ottawa. Alanis' Greek is a female variant of the surname her father's name. Her mother's name is Georgia and there are two brothers named Chad and Wade (Alanis"Twin"). She started playing the piano when she was 6 and then took up guitar at 21. In 1986 Alanis recorded a hit single, Fate Stay with My (b-side: Find The Right Man). She released two albums as a dance-pop performer throughout Canada: Alanis (1991) and Now Is The Time (1992). Aged 18, she relocated to Toronto and began working with a variety of singers and musicians, but these collaborations did not work. They finally found her partner in the year 1994: Glen Ballard. He had been working with a variety of artists, including Aretha, Michael Jackson, and Barbra. She then moved to LA at age 19. on June 13, 1995 "Jagged Little Pill" was released through Madonna's Maverick Records. Alanis came up with a method for making songs that are intimate and personal. JLP is the 3rd most-sold album in history and was sold over 30 million times all over the globe. She went through an emotionally tense time (she was even considering not making another record) and made a trip to India.
